New In: Ultegra Di2 Groupset

As expected electronic gear shifting made a huge step closer to reaching most people, the Ultegra Di2 groupset was unveiled by Shimano, and in the region of £1,500.00 it is to sell at about half the price of its top-of-the-range Dura-Ace Di2.

Electronic gearing is now more than likely to hit the mass production lines, Dura-Ace Di2 electronic groupsets were only manufactured in small production batches, whereas now the Ultegra Di2 electronic groupset should be going into production full time.

Bike manufactures are showing a keen interest, with Giant and Specialised assigning the Ultegra Di2 groupset to some of their 2012 model ranges, others will no doubt follow.
