Evan’s Cycles range of in house designed bikes called Pinnacle will be launched in March 2011.

They are aimed at below £1000 – a very competitive price point, competing against the likes of Boardman and the like. There are road, mountain bike and cyclo cross models. The road bike models are called Dolomite and feature aluminium frames ranging from £550, £850 to £1,000 – even the cheapest bike gets dual control levers and a decent low weight.

The fourth road bike model is the Gabbro which is at £600, and is female specific.

Specialized have remodelled the Roubaix frame for 2011.

Changes include:

• new one-piece chainstay and bottom bracket design
• new seatstay with Zertz inserts – which is lighter than the Specialized Roubaix 2010 frame
• Geometry of the downtube has been changed which increases stiffness and responsiveness
• Appearance and paint jobs are new for 2011

There are a few models to choose from, including the SL3 Expert which costs £2,849 and the SL3 Pro at around £4k
